Then we shall. It really depends on the OP's desires, and how important where they live is to them. Since they stated "urban loft living".. I'm thinking they'd be disappointed with Bellevue.

Me, I drove across the bridge for years. But even with all that pain, I still don't think I'd consider living on the eastside. The quality of living, level of sophistication, night life, restaurants, shopping are ALL better in Seattle. Plus all the 'walking' neighborhoods are in Seattle. If the OP does indeed want the urban experience, that's where they'll find it.

In fact, here's my advice to them: If you choose Seattle, live where you can use I-90 as your commuting bridge. It's ALWAYS better than 520.

Ok, we'll definitely agree on that I-90 part ...although, I have seen I-90 miserably congested at times.

But yes, it does depend on what the OP desires and how important that urban atmosphere is. You can't beat living in the heart of Seattle for that factor. It's something only they can determine. I kind of have a hunch that they'll choose to live in Seattle and commute to Bellevue every day but I just wanted to throw my usual $.02 in.
