Hi guys,

My girlfriend and I having been blowing gas driving through the mountains, basically every single nice day we get (we rent a car so we don't destroy our own car's transmission lol).

My question is for the folks who have been here for a long time. I know there are several eateries in the mountains and something about the idea of a place fishing naturally and cooking food coming right of the lakes really excites me (I know I am not alone, so don't poke fun).

But, I want to know...Do you have a favorite place in the mountains where you like to eat?

Again, I have seen several places (I don't know any names ) but I would like to stop and try one or two that are high caliber eateries. Thoughts, guys?

There really isn't much that I would consider high caliber in the mountains. We did enjoy a pizza at Hometown Pizza in Twisp, and we like Munchen Haus in Leavenworth, but none of the little eateries along the roads have impressed us much. Hopefully other have more suggestions.

For best view ever, anytime of year go to Crystal mountain- Summit House restaurant. Half the experience is the gondola up to the restaurant. Inside and outside seating. Reservations needed for dinner.

Agreed. Leavenworth has some decent places. Roslyn does as well - we usually make one of those two towns our stop if we're heading over the pass. North Bend on the way back down.
