This was passed among friends on FB and thought it was a nice read. The kindness one sees in Seattle and great customer service is not really something one would hear a whole a lot about, so I thought I pass this on here:

We just moved here 4 weeks ago, and this is exactly how I feel about the customer service and people who I have come into contact with here in the city!

Based on my visit back in late 2011, a number of people I already know or have known, and a few of you here on CD who I've become acquainted with who are from the area, I would expect no less. Maybe those who have more of a questionable view toward the friendliness of the people around here.. take this as an example that maybe the "Seattle Freeze" is thawing.

This is the BEST example of customer service I have ever heard about. Nordstoms ROCKS. I work for a grocery store that prides itself on customer service, and I will share this story with my co-workers. Awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Awesome story. It's a great example of how focusing on the positive not the negative is the best way to go "viral", ha.

Thanks for posting it. I actually experienced some pretty cool things like this in Stockholm. Incidentally, it's also a place supposedly known for social "freezes"
