Absolutely!

OP, don't limit yourself to camping during summer, which honestly, as far as natural beauty goes, is the least attractive season. Places are also full of crowds, many of which are down right rude and inconsiderate. True you might have to deal with some showers during the off season, but its not always that bad and can be totally worth it One of the best camping trips I had was in NOVEMBER! I dragged the kids with me and we had a great time. It didn't rain ALL the time so we got out and did stuff and the forest was gorgeous. Most importantly, except for the large herd of Elk, we had the campgrounds pretty much to ourselves. Was awesome! Just invest in good gear to keep you dry and get camping!!! Thanks folks! One of the reasons we were trying to go this weekend was my Husband having to go out of town for an undetermined amount of time next week. I'm hoping he'll get back at some point this Fall so we can try to get out there. I don't mind the rain or cold! I'm honestly half tempted to still just pack up the car and at least take a ride...worse thing that could happen is we turn around and go home. LOL!

YEP! I tried to post that and couldn't get the video to work lol. My kids say that is me Though I DO check the weather report. But once you past summer if you are going to wait for perfect weather to do something you will never leave the house! I like the rain and love the saying "there is not such thing as bad weather, only bad equipment"
