Sorry for all the queries, but, man, am I ever thankful for this forum (wish I would've found it about 8 years ago!).

The NEXUS pass is $50. I believe it lasts 5 years, replaces the need for a passport and expedites the whole crossover process. It's basically pre-approval to travel back and forth, you are already "screened" and this is for land and marine, not sure of air.

Love your screen name by the way..........ask me again and I'll tell you the same.

Sure... it's cheaper than a passport but the process includes being interviewed... lot of work just to get into Canada for a quick trip

When you said you have a small car, I imagined you have something like this

Cruze is a regular car, not small not big. Also 13K miles is still a brand new car. People start having most of the problems past 100K miles.

Lots of people drive small cars out here, and it's absolutely no problem. Both of our cars are smaller than the Cruze- I have a little Kia Spectra and my wife has a 2001 Chevy Prizm- which is really more the size of a Fiesta, I think, with not much horsepower.
We have done a lot of sight seeing in the 4 years we have been out here, spending a lot of time in the mountains and have had zero trouble with these cars. Much of that running around was in the Prizm just because it was older and we didn't care how many miles we racked up on it. No trouble getting up any of the mountain roads. Of course they are all paved roads, so they are not bad roads for vehicles of any size.

Yea', I love those little cars like that, but the wife hates them.

Thank you much.

13,000 miles is a new car. You're fine.
