I find that I do not purchase new clothing anymore. I have a few resale shops that I LOVE. They are very reasonable, and organized nicely. Neat and tidy, and very pleasant people working (volunteering) there. My favorite is called Holy Spirit Thrift shop and is run by an Episcopalian church. My other favorite is the Waterfront Mission. Oh, and St, Vincent de Paul. run by the Catholic church.

The best thrifting is outside of Seattle ... also, Goodwill has a newer store in South Lake Union that is more "upscale". That is the closest thrift store I can think of to downtown.
