Groovy, thoughtful toy stores. For me, it is refreshing not to walk into a toy store and be surrounded with plastic crap, guns and exploding things. Some of the best are Clover in Ballard, Top Ten Toys in Greenwood and Magic Mouse in Pioneer Square, Curious Kid Stuff in West Seattle, Dragon's Toy Box near Pike Place Market.

@Penecow. Yeah, I help people with homes. I also happen to love this city I have lived in for 24 years, am sick of the negativity of posts about it and am going to publish some positive things. Okay with you?

I LOVE how unique little stores with a tight niche market stay alive in Seattle. Although not just toy stores, I like the Greenwood Space Travel Supply company..........and The Purple Store near Green Lake. Litterally everything is purple, clothes, jewelry, furniture, tea pots etc..........makes you believe you can open up a store that sells just about anything here.

I still yearn for my favorite store in the category - Chubby and Tubby - a Seattle icon.

Yeh, slip of my mind, since we still stop there on 45th on the way to Ballard.

Things I like about seattle: people are not obnoxious, the city is not a filthy pigsty, less superficiality, many neighborhoods with local flavor, people care for the environment, the techie element.

I am also repulsed by reading the same stupid seattle freeze/weather/etc. comments over and over and over again. It's like a bunch of unpleasant ticks that need to be squashed.
I appreciate rational arguments but most the complainers have bs emotional agendas that they throw in our face.
