Just want to know the Arcades in Seattle as they seem to be a dying breed or entertainment with all the home consoles and stuff, I remember growing up in the 80s and going to arcades all the time and going broke there lol, I plan to move to Seattle and was curious about what kinds of arcades are available for me.

Gameworks is pretty much the one that outlasted them all. Even the malls have done away with them.

Besides the old retro touch in various places (I think the Rock Box in Capitol Hill has a Ms. Pack-Man that you can sit down at), pretty much only places are Lucky Strike and Gameworks.

I've always wanted to start my own arcade... Maybe Seattle needs one of epic proportions!

Gameworks is the only major arcade in the city that I'm aware of. While it's fun, it doesn't deliver the retro arcade feel if you're after that (It feels more like a big family entertainment center).

Personally, I say make a trip down to Dorky's in Tacoma when you get here - Great "Bar-cade" with a solid game selection and plenty of charm to boot! I usually stop in when down that way.

Seattle doesn't have a real hipster style bar-cade, at least not yet that I'm aware of. They got Ground Kontrol in Portland if you're ever down there. I used to play there sometimes.

Yeah. You think a neighborhood like Cap Hill or U district would already have one.

In downtown Renton, an arcade pub/bar/café is about to open. They were supposed to open in June, but the slow permitting process delayed it's opening. It now looks ready to open:
