In MN I could bring my car in to get it washed, and they would also vacuum. I believe basic would be around $8-10.

Obviously it will cost more here, but I can't even find a place that does this.

I know I can do it myself, but with all the kids activities, and my schedule, I just don't have time to do this task.

Oh-I live in Issaquah, so I would love it to be conveniently close.

Thanks!

Not enough ultra cheap labor here. Minimum wage is something like > $9/hr, compared to $7.25 in MN. Ergo, not cost effective to hire the help, and an all illegal mexican crew looks suspicious. Not gonna happen, sorry.

Ah, a Breaking Bad car wash. We have a car wash like that in Mill Creek. High school boys work it. So they do exist.

Yeah, I found that those kind of businesses are quite popular here in the Houston area. Very few places to wash cars yourself, away from the house that is. I'm also one of the few people on our street that takes care of my own yard. For a self-proclaimed self-sufficient, pull yourself up by your bootstraps people, they sure don't mind having others do things for them.

I haven't seen one in the area that does the interior, other than $100 detail places. The Brown Bear just of West Lake Sammamish Parkway on SE 56th just before you turn to Costco does have vaccums for you to use before or after it's washed.

Elephant Car Wash, as tobester recommended, though I don't know if there is a location near Issaquah. I had my car cleaned there, inside and out, before driving back to Houston this summer (where, analogkid, I do routinely clean it myself.)

Another option is a dealership. I take mine in once a year or two for a very detailed cleaning, usually coupled with a regular service for which I get a loaner car. They do a basic wash and vacuum with oil changes anyway.

Yep - elephant carwash. The closest one to Issaquah is probably the Bellevue location. There are certainly a lot of nice cars going in and out of there. According to their website, a basic wash 'n vacuum is $20.

There is also a place at MS called the Redmond Auto Salon (but you don't have to be an employee to use it). They're more expensive, but I've taken my car there before, and getting a wash and vacuum has it looking practically detailed. They run $30-40 for a hand wash and vacuum.

And don't forget to "give this to your car wash professional."

I'm sure that the labor market does have something to do with the rarity of these kinds of places. And maybe the weather too - it's hard for many consumers to justify spending money on an expensive car wash at certain times of the year.

I remember a few years ago that the Brown Bear chain did away with the folks who would towel off your car as you exited the car wash. I'm assuming that was a (labor) cost cutting move.

they exist but you are looking at $15-20+

you can find a touchless one that has basic washes for $6-8 and they towel dry it at the end.
