So I'm currently interning at a Kirkland based Start-up company called 'Anomo'. We are a social networking company that is currently growing at a rapid rate. Because we deal with Social Networking, we are trying to plan and show support by holding an Anti-Bullying (Cyber Bullying mainly) event in Seattle in the next 2-4 months. We are currently have very few ideas for the event besides the fact that we wont to get some really powerful speakers. This is event will be mostly aimed to get teens and young adults together, in full support of one cause. We plan on making this event as large as possible have many connections to community leaders, local celebrities, and leadership classes throughout the area. I had an Idea of a march through the city, but have no Idea where it should start or finish.

Does anyone have any ideas for some sort an Event?
If we were to do a rally where is an appropriate location to hold this?
Whats the best way to show support for our cause while also showing it in a positive light?
What we you want to do or see at a rally like this?

Any suggestions would help us tremendously!!!

I usually attend anti-bullying rallies with my 9mm on my hip, open-carry.. For some reason, it seems to be very effective at reducing the amount of bullying I encounter, anyhow..

Just an idea...

Let's host an open carry/anti-bullying rally!! Two events in One!

Yeah......I dont think an event that features minirs and combating bullying has anything to do with open carry. Dont think that woukd go well in downtown Seattle either......

Perhaps a march might be too lofty, since this will be the first gathering your company has done. But a rally at Westlake Center should do. Make sure to get in contact and work with the local schools and see if you can get them to relay the info.

Yeah, ive done large rallies helping head the We Scare hunger event in federal way last year. I think were hoping to do more though, the founder of Anomo is the head of King County United Way while also on the board of trustees at the University of Washington. I think we have enough connections and experience to do something really big but i understand where you are coming from. Do you think thats a good location to draw large crowds? We dont want the event to just turn into a bunch of random speakers tmralkying in westlake, but more set and organised.

Yea it's a good place! Where do you think most rallies in DT are at? Westlake Center is the place. Even the Mariners and Seahawks done their rallies there.

An event or rally bringing awareness to bullying and combating it. For people to stand together and try to stop bullying or all forms
