1. Shorts, t-shirt, and sandals.

2. If cold, add a light coat.

3. If still cold, add shoes.

4. If still cold, grudgingly consider wearing pants instead of shorts.

5. Finally break down and wear pants.
I'm sure you've fit in seamlessly. There was frost on the lawns this week, I thought our son might break but nope.

This is pretty much how I roll! I'm a Michigan native, so there's not really much that can faze me.

The only reason I broke out the long pants this year was that I had to wear some to a function about a month ago, and then wardrobe inertia set in. The shorts will be back once this cold spell passes, I think. (Has anyone else had quite enough of these clear, cold days? I'd like my cloud blanket back now, thanks.)

I just did a 6 mile run in shorts and t-shirt - did wear a hat to keep my head warm. Saw many others dressed similarly. Right now it's 42 degrees and bright sunshine (don't tell anyone please).

Yesssssssss!!! Enough of the cold. Bring back the mild temps, the cloud cover, the mizzle ... anything but the frostiness we've had these past few days!!!

The sun is still out here and it's 48, nearly shorts weather, but I am wearing a t-shirt and have been puttering around in the yard. This morning it was 30, much warmer than the last two days and no frost on the cars for a nice change.

Oregon drivers are far worse than Seattle. Seattle drivers won't go over the speed limit. OR drivers go 5-10 miles under while weaving their Outbacks or Foresters across the road Braille continuously. You don't get stopped for speeding in CA because the few cops left there after all of the budget cuts are too busy busting illegals or gang bangers. Do not speed out here. You will get caught.

As for shorts, all of ours were packed away since early September and I've been in fleece ever since. You don't get used to it unless you always run hot. In our town at least, you never see anyone over 16 wearing shorts in November. Maybe that is a Seattle proper thing?

Eyewitness reports Woodinville High School (on the Eastside) very pro-shorts.*

*The shorts must be long, like knee length. My son is horrified when he sees old movies from the 80s where men are wearing short shorts. Telling him that was the style then does not help.

Being from Montana all my life, I've gotten a lot of strange looks when people on campus at UW wearing nothing but a t shirt and jeans throughout the day, your guys version of "cold" simply doesn't bother me
