Well, at least it would lessen the traffic in Seattle, I guess. But really, it would be a sad sight...

The restaurant prices in Seattle are already way too high.. I can find way cheaper and decent restaurants around Bellevue, especially ethnic food places. If it wasn't for the U-District, I would probably starve in Seattle. Thank G-d for poor, cheapskate college students.

Hopefully, they can move the waterfront / ferry terminal away from Seattle. I can just imagine how much easier parking will be! (shoulda built than Monorail / overhead passenger rail line extension)

When parking is easier, that will free up more room under the bridges for the homeless! I see Economic Development coming your way! Getting more like Portand!!! now expand the 'surface street' mass transit that is SLOW and dangerous, and ruins traffic and commerce... and you will be neck and neck with Portland!

I have views that are left and right of center, that's why I say "conservative liberal green social-democratic libertarian"

But still, I look like Pinochet next to councilwoman elect Smaug...did I say "Smaug"? I meant "Sawant." How on Earth could I have mistaken her for a big ugly red monster that leaves destruction in its wake and leaves the town by the mountain in ashes?

One thing I love about Seattle: my Lord of the Rings and Star Trek references are generally understood

The Bay Area in California. It's been my experience that everything I find likable about the Puget Sound region is 3x better in the Bay Area. Only thing stopping me from living there is the cost of living and I can't secure a decent-paying job out there.

People are always saying that about every city. The job market just flat out isn't good for anyone who's not in a tech or medical field these days. A lot of these West Coast cities that were once known for having an artistic, funky vibe are now being dominated by foreign-born people and Midwesterners who relocate there to be drones in the tech industry. As a result, the cities are getting more and more bland, and accumulating the same generic gigantic suburb feel that you can find anywhere in the US. Portland hasn't experienced this as badly as Seattle or cities in the Bay Area, but it will sooner or later.
