We have applied from Seattle, to Bellevue, to Port Angeles, and now there is opening in Port Hadlock.
I feel for the OP as it is so difficult to know if a move will be the right one, but it sounds like you have given that area a long trial that hasn't worked it out. Wish you luck in finding a place that is a better fit!
Wow, I wouldn't have expected to find jobs in Port Hadlock, there are only about 3,000 people there. very cool little town.

I agree generally, in fact Seattle has some nice smells like around the bakery at the market, but it also has some smells I haven't run into in Bellevue of garbage and urine like in the alleys off of Pine street from 1st to 5th.

Good to know Hemlock140 Thanks! We've only stayed in Edmonds, and driven to Sequim and Port Angeles.

Yeah seattle has thrown me for a loop hole since the first time I visited. I'll never get it. The nice women are opposite of what anywhere else in the country would expect, they're the well dressed, well groomed. The cranky ones are usually dressed sloppy. It's like people TRY to be different. If you're conservative in dress and look nice everyday people take a while to warm up. I literally throw my hands up cause I just don't get it. People are pushy too but if you hold your ground they're all nicey. No explanation.

Just read your posts and I have to agree with you... I lived in Seattle (Capitol Hill, Mt. Baker, Queen Anne, West Seattle) for over 20 years and LOVED Seattle. I left and subsequently lived in two other states. Finally got back to visit Seattle (thinking I would be moving back there). It had been 10 years since I'd been back and I was shocked. I, too, found it to be far less appealing. It does need to be cleaned up. It is cramped, over-crowded. We could not walk anywhere downtown without being - literally - smacked in the face with cigarette smoke on every corner. I'd always considered Seattle my "home", even after all of these years... I was so very disappointed. I did not feel a connection with it all. So sad to see it has changed so much :-( You couldn't pay me enough to live there again - at least not right in the general Seattle area.
