I said Ocean feel. Of course I know Vancouver isn't on the actual ocean.
that's cuz they're all swimming in lake washington, 20+ degrees warmer

Not to deflect the thread, but to make myself look what I know what I'm talking about. There are a LOT more people that swim in Metro Vancouver beaches on the S.O.G. than they are that swim in P.S.
Seems like some of you have never been to a Vancouver beach in the summer.

Except you don't know what you're talking about. You've visited all the beaches on Puget Sound, both in metro and the rest of the PS coastline on a hot day? Counted how many boats go out? No, you didn't because then you wouldn't said "10". That's just flat out untrue. Cold water is real easy to acclimate on a "hot" Seattle (Western WA) day.

I think his original argument was that Van had a more "Ocean feel" than Seattle beaches. Whatever that means. And the number of swimmers on the beaches was supposed to prove that Van has a more "Ocean feel". But if you go to the actual ocean ( What a concept!), there are no swimmers there at all. So why are we arguing the relative number of swimmers? What is this "Ocean feel" thing?

Whatever.

Can someone post web links to real-time or daily water temperature listings in the Sound and surrounding area lakes?

Boats go out? Doesn't have anything to do with swimming from the beach.

You want the temps right now?

Don't worry, no one is going swimming anywhere in the entire Pacific Northwest right now...
