We are thinking of moving to Bellevue (from Rocky River, OH) this summer. We have an 8 year old daughter. Are the public schools in that area any good? I see that they score pretty well on a state level. I would appreciate it if any parents of children in that school district can give me some personal views on the schools.

Due to the amount of money on the Eastside, the schools in Bellevue are in some respects considered the best in the state. Most, if not all, of the high schools in the Bellevue School District are on Newsweek's Best High Schools, starting with #12 and going to #62. If there is any school district to move in to Washington, it should be Bellevue. I wish I went there.

My children no longer attend Bellevue schools, as we have moved away ... but they did for a few years and I thought they were excellent! The kids also really enjoyed their K-12 experience there. I had them in grade school, middle school and high school and all were terrific. People in the area are more affluent than in many districts (per capita) and highly regard the school system, so there is a lot of money to make things better that other areas/districts sadly do not have.

I would say Bellevue Schools were the BEST my children ever attended - Tacoma school district was the WORST!

Tudorjason,

Thanks for that link, I had no idea how really great the schools are out here! It won't keep us here but it was nice to see how the schools rank where we will live next!

Hello, I went K-12 in bellevue schools and they are so advanced and awesome. Many peers became scientist, doctor, lawyer, etc. My kids in Tacoma schools (suck!) so lame. Go to Bellevue.
