We will be in Seattle May 27-29 planning to take the train from Marriott Seatac to Pikes and also want to see the Glass Museum. Any tips appreciated.

Tip #1- Unless you want to appear like a tourist, call it " The Market", or "Pike Place", or " Pike Place Market". Calling it "Pikes" is an invitation to charge you more money because you're a tourist.
The Experience Music Project/SciFi Museum are close to the glass museum, and fun if you have any interest in music from the 60's on.

And of course the Space Needle is right next to the glass museum. Worth the trip up on a clear day, if you've never done it before. I think you can save a buck or two on the museum admission by buying in advance.

The museum is not too far to walk to from the Market, for most people, although you can get into full tourist mode and take the monorail to get closer.

maybe go to Kerry Park (free) in Queen Anne (the 2 bus goes to Highland Drive) or the Columbia Center Sky View Observatory (cheaper than the Space Needle and a taller building) and/or take ferry to Alki Beach (pier 50 i think)

Olympic Sculpture Garden. The art installations are nice but pale in comparison to the views of Elliott Bay, the Olympics and the skyline. And it's free.

The Underground tour in Pioneer Square is always a big hit- I'd highly recommend it if you have time!
