I agree with the alternative freeway advice, although it might be best to learn how to drive in the tough situation you described. Here's a web-site that talks about parking at the Seattle Center. Live At Seattle Center - Transportation -.

So, I need to find alternative, easier turn offs. Can people advise? To start with, I just want to be able to get to the Seattle Centre. Also ... best way to find parking? The last few times I drove in I just went round and round and round and had to leave because I couldn't find a park!

Thanks!

Seattle Centre?? Canadian or European?

Seattle driving is not for the faint of heart thanks to the deranged street layout. Thankfully, Seattle drivers are not aggressive and tend to be accommodating on the road. Anyhow, if you want to avoid the craziest streets, how about getting off at the Greenwood exit and then navigating from Highway 99 which is a straight shot and stays on a grid system, avoiding all the funky intersections. Yeah, it is out of the way, but you will also avoid some of the more grueling streets around downtown. You can also considering getting off at the U-District exit and will be on a grid system that avoids the craziness of downtown as well, which is closer depending if you are coming from North or South.

Unless you have a very high quality GPS they do get confused in areas where there are elevated freeways. Some, like a Garmin or Magellan will think you are on a surface street when you are on the freeway or viaduct above it.
