sorry, you said day game. under the viaduct, if you can find parking. Or, park in nearby neighborhood (queen anne, capitol hill, etc.), and take a metro bus.
Usually just south of Safeco Field, we go down on 1st ave, and turn west onto Utah Ave. I've seen people go for Occidental Ave. Free and just a short walk.

How long since you have been here? There is no more parking under the viaduct, due to the tunnel and seawall replacement projects. What's not being used for work or staging areas is now the road to get to the ferry and Alaskan Way by the Aquarium. Any free parking that was there before is being used during the day by people working in the area, and more meters have been installed. I wouldn't count on free, though you might luck out. We have used the King Street Station which was $15 for mediocre games,
or more often we will park at the Eastgate Park & Ride and take any bus that goes there to the International District. Probably the ST 554 Express runs most often, from the I90 freeway station at Eastgate.
Right. Free parking under the viaduct is long gone. Parking was greatly reduced and the vehicle homes were vanquished several years ago when the potholes that could drown your car were filled for a paved street between Massachusetts and Railroad, then gone completely for the the tunnel project. North of Madison, with AK Way moved under the viaduct, there's now some 4 hour spaces on the old AK Way but they're $4 per hour.
I went to the day game last week and parked in the North Parking lot for $20. Plenty of spaces, open until 9pm.
I park in chinatown or the edge of sodo/georgetown an just walk. Where are you coming from? The lightrail honestly is the best option if your coming from the south.
I usually park on 6th Avenue S. around Massachusetts St, or on one of the side streets near there, near the Metro bus facility. There's usually spots around there, but it is somewhat of a walk to the stadium.
