I need to get to Coupeville from West Seattle on Saturday morning, and I am trying to decide if I am better off taking the Mukilteo ferry or driving the long way around through Mount Vernon. Can anyone tell me if there is usually a long wait time for the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry on Saturday mornings in the summer for the first boat (6:00 am)?

I've never had a wait for one of the ferries that early on a Saturday - you should be fine. But with all the boat problems that WSF has been having you should check and make sure they are running on schedule

it is summer time though, so wait times would be longer. you could look at the ferry wait cameras this upcoming weekend to see what it's like, and then plan from there.

I don't think there would be a long wait for the 6:00 AM sailing on Saturdays.

You will be fine...9am onward is when it gets really dicey! I left Seattle at 7:55 am last Saturday and drove right onto the 8:30 boat and it was not full for that particular crossing!
