So, in this instance I assume you're appealing to some sort of familial bond that bars you from criticizing them at all? So, extending the logic, a grandchild picking their nose and eating what comes out shouldn't be commented on...because that's your grandchild? Maybe your grandchild was playing with a full diaper...yeah, that's your grandchild so you don't want to offend. Warning about a hot stove is beyond your purview because, well, that's your grandchild...I'm sure he or she knows best.

I've talked to gay people who say heterosexual people are gross and think men who have sexual relations with women are disgusting.

I suppose if a straight person is turned off by homosexuality he is evil and bigoted, but not the other way around.

Anyhow, people have the right to think what they want, unless they live in Seattle. THere you must think what people tell you is right and wrong or else you will be condemned and hated. That is, unless you are a religious minority and you get a free pass, as long as you stay in your own community and not interact with the locals.

Are you seriously equating someone's adult sexuality with a toddler not knowing better? Picking their nose or playing with a full diaper? Seriously?

This is not my area of expertise but I think they are basically not attracted. Anyway, it's not like they're asking you to join them, just let them live their life.

of course i would tell them that they're gross, disgusting, etc.

and yes, i would still love them.

i've always been taught to love the person, hate the sin.

if my grandchild were to (use your imagination for the worst thing you can think of), i would still love my grandchild but hate what they did and tell them what i think about what they did (or are doing).

RVD.

I was extending your own logic...and who said toddler? If your grandchild, adult or toddler, were picking his or her nose or playing with a full diaper I would expect someone to say something about it. Yes, I am equating it that way because that's the level of disgust, or even deeper, many people have with homosexuality.

There are countless aspects of life and society that do not affect me yet I am happy we have laws against them. This is yet another.

I think that's sad but to each his own.

That's why when Republicans say they want less government in their life, I roll my eyes. They want lots of government in the most personal aspects of people's lives.

As a gay man who has been happily partnered, (and now married) to the same man for twenty plus years how does my marriage affect you?

I take it that you do not believe in live and let live.
