Wouldn't you have to be a student to workout there?

YEP

Bellingham is not a gym town.. You are best trying to setup a home gym, like I have done.. However, if that is not possible, you are stuck with one of the crappy and probably overpriced gyms in the town.

You will not have any giant fitness facilities unless you go up to Vancouver (not worth it with border) or head down to Everett (over an hour drive).

Not that you want to drive that far to work out but there are awesome gyms across the border in Canada! And if you are moving to Bellingham definitely apply for the Nexus Pass that let's you cross the border without waiting in line. It takes about four months for them to do the background check from the time you apply but it is so worth it and it it good for 5 years! Then Vancouver really becomes your city! An amazing place IMO!
