I don't know how people get so wound up over food. We just had an historic election, and people are wound up about sandwiches?

Anyway, if the shop was engaged in wage theft, that should be the focus. I don't care how good their sandwiches were; if they were squeezing their workers I wouldn't want one.

You are free to create a thread that talks about the election. But I'd rather have a good sandwich than get into a discussion about politics which does have a habit of getting nasty all around.

I think a lot of people were taken aback by employee/finance situation though.

Thanks so much for granting me that permission.

You obviously haven't tried one of their sandwiches. If you were a liberal, and found out that the Koch brothers owned the place, you wouldn't care, and would order another one of their roast pork sandwiches. It was that good.

Paseo was indeed amazing, and will be missed. On the other hand, now I feel weird about all those times I walked in there with a massive wad of $20 bills to get lunch for the office (it was cash only).

Paseo files for bankruptcy, may have tax problems | The Today File | Seattle Times

And a bankruptcy filing. I'll miss the sandwiches too, but I hope the worker-creditors get their unpaid wages.
