Does anybody know anything about the chances of somebody getting a USPS letter carrier job within the city of Seattle? I have a relative who is interested - just trying to ascertain the chances and procedures. Thanks.

Apply through the main post office in town. There's always turnover. If your relative is in the area right now, he can get his foot in the door by applying for a temporary "Christmas casual" job in the mail sorting division. They'll be taking applications right now.
