Where are the "hot" areas of growth in Seattle metropolitan area and where will they be in the next 5-10 years?

In the city, it's South Lake Union, Ballard, and along the light rail line through Rainier Valley.

I've heard there's some growth outside the city but it's not as apparent - perhaps Issaquah. Bothell has a big renewal project going on as well.

There are 3 large cranes putting up massive building projects in S. Bellevue. Two on Bellevue Way in Old Bellevue, and one on Main st. just east of Bellevue Way.
