I'm from California and don't ever wanna go back! Moving to Seattle was the best decisions we have ever made. Great City, Great People and always something to do.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SEATTLE!

Yes, moving back to Seattle in 2011 turned out to be really good timing. It's interesting comparing how things were back then. In 2011, the city seemed kind of run down and not a whole lot was going on. Houses sat on the market for months with no offers and multiple price reductions. Nothing was being built.

Then... BOOM.

That's the problem!

Just tell everyone, its a gloomy, rainy, moldy place, and the next bust is just around the corner...

we just moved from CA about a year ago and while there's a lot of great things, there's still no place like CA! (esp the weather and the food)

On the food issue, aren't you on the Eastside? That's mostly a culinary wasteland, foodies don't live over there. Granted, Seattle is no NY but it's 100 times better than anything east of Lake Washington until you hit another ocean (or great lake).

Esp the earthquakes, water shortages, and state income tax! The number of Californians moving to Seattle says it right there. Boo CA! Yay Seattle (I'm just kidding.. well partly)

lol, i totally agree w/ you about the state income tax! i don't mind earthquakes. i think i'd rather have that than a landslide, the thought of which freaks me out.

Born again Washingtonian here! Couldn't imagine going back to California. And before you natives get angry, I like it because it's nothing like California, and don't expect it or want it to change.
