You don't like nature? I don't know anyone like that. You are right, probably not for you here. Miami would be good.

Maybe you should be asking those questions in other forums. Many of us have never lived in/experienced those cities enough to say.

I will say that DC gets you better proximity to a lot of other big cities and other countries. That might help stave off your boredom for longer. You can always pick up a vacation home in Miami and visit - you know, since money isn't an issue.

Why is NYC off of the table? That sounds like your mecca.

Of the cities you have lived in (not just visited) in the past, which ones have been your favorites, and why?

If you like Bellevue move to Northern Virginia. Socially I'd say DC/NoVa is somewhat more open to diversity of opinion/politics and less passive aggressive - not quite like NY, but definitely closer to that than Seattle is.

NoVa is mostly bedroom communities though. People there work and raise their kids, and that's about it outside of some of the more urban areas like Arlington and Clarendon. Those areas are expensive though, more so than most of Seattle. We found the "nightlife" kind of lacking in the District and especially in Nova. There's only a handful of decent live music venues and most bands skip DC entirely and play in Baltimore. People there get excited when Jimmy Buffet comes to play at Wolf Trap if that tells you anything.
