I'm coming from the DC area on business. I have experimented with some clubs in the area but I can not seem to find any good hip hop/r&b clubs. Are there any that are good that have UPDATED songs playing with the right vibe? I'm not a fan of late 90's hip hop music that i keep hearing at these clubs. top 40 is okay but i just prefer to visit a dedicated hip hop/r&b/trap music club spot. any suggestions?

Thanks but I already looked on that same page to find the ones I went to. I was hoping to learn of some ones that weren't mentioned.

That might be it. Most listed are not specifically "hip hop" clubs, but feature it on certain nights.

A number of "hip hop" clubs have been declared public nuisances and closed down due to chronic gun and other violence, disturbances, and disorderly conduct. They tend to attract members of conflicting gangs, partly due to there being so few of them, which can then lead to violent confrontations. See:

There aren't a lot of hip hop clubs in Seattle; as was mentioned earlier, the lack of spaces for black people in general tends to consolidate all kinds of people into one space. It's good in terms of diversity, but when things go bad they go really bad.

Here are some ideas:

88 Keys has Remix Wednesdays featuring an urban professional crowd on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 10:00 pm on, of course, Wednesdays. There's soul food and a DJ that plays neo-soul and R&B.

You may also want to check out the Royal Esquire Club in Columbia City. I recommend calling them to confirm events.

Turf wars and vendettas. With more clubs, rival gangs would be more able to go to clubs on their own turf to avoid conflicts and showdowns. In Seattle, with few hip hop clubs and, where they exist, unclear and shifting gang turfs...
