You are right CSD610, sounds like you might be a smoker. Thanks for correcting me. The dictionary definition of "waft" is "a gentle movement of air". The smell of cigarettes as I walk through a park is anything but gentle.

homeless people should be kicked out of parks. The homeless situation in Seattle is getting out of control. These people harass tourists and normal residents.

So if the homeless can't be in the parks, where else are they going to go? Out on the sidewalks? You won't like that either.

Cigarette smoke can go a long distance. I have a third floor room and I can smell cigarette smoke from the people sitting down and across the street in front of the coffee shop. What's funny though, is I came to Seattle from San Jose. I was absolutely amazed when I got here to see how many people smoked. Considering how so many people like the out-of-doors and Seattle is supposed to be a healthy city, there are a lot more smokers here than in the Bay Area.

Oh please, how dramatic can you get?

The smell and smoke from the few cigarettes that could be lit at one time in a park is NOT going to waft through an entire park and the smell nd the smoke dissipates wtihin moments.

Again, don't you get tired of stretching the true facts to push your agenda? You lose a lot of credibility when you do not state the actual facts that are known to pretty much everyone above the age of 4.

This just gives cops another reason to stop you. Once they have your ID they can check your warrants and stuff.

You are dreaming if you believe this, cigarette smoke does not travel that far and last that long.

You have convinced yourself it is cigarette smoke but in reality it is not.

Cops will actually have to talk to the homeless people. I don't understand how this is going to work.

Dude, I think I know what cigarette smoke smells like. And I sure know when I smell it. And yes, a breeze can carry it up to my window.

When it happens I am really not sitting here dreaming of cigarette smoke, but I do notice it when it comes to my attention. And yes, I can also smell the pot on occasion as well when people are sitting outside smoking that.

Smokers way underestimate how easy it is to smell cigarette smoke, especially the smoke that clings to them. I get within 2 feet of a person and I can tell you if they smoke or not.

The stink of cigarettes can travel at least 20-30 feet.
