I am looking for first hand reports of unusual (offensive or not) smells and sounds in and around greater Seattle area.
This can be of importance when looking for a new home, school, new transit route etc.

Here are some of what I noticed:

- Around 6th Ave S and S Alaska St: noticeable weed smell most times
- E Marginal Way S and S Idaho St: heavy sewer processing smell, the hotter it gets the more it smells
- Federal Center South: light to moderate weed smell at all times
- Friend reports Michigan Street exit off of I5: moderate weed smell on/off
- First Ave S bridge: offensive deep fryer smell throughout the day
- Alaskan Way and Seneca: heavy Chinese import goods smell (like naphthalene or gangrene)
- Waterfront construction has been loud off and on especially when they were driving pillars in

Surprisingly 2 transfer stations I go by don’t give off very strong smells unless one gets very close.
Any you notice? A map of these if contributions become numerous?

The Franz Family Bakery plant at 20th & Jackson bathes a swath of the Central District in the warm puffy aroma of baking bread overnight.
