Can anyone recommend a good child psychologist or other pediatric behavioral provider/therapist? My preschool-aged son seems to be more volatile than his peers (quick to anger whenever he doesn't get his way, or sometimes for no apparent reason at all) and his anger tends to manifest itself as shrieking/violence -- hitting, kicking, scratching, etc.

Part of me thinks/hopes that he'll grow out of it, but I also know that early interventions work best and I want to do anything I can to help him... Somewhere around the southern part of Lake Washington would be best, but anywhere in the Seattle/Bellevue area (or even Everett/Tacoma) would be fine. He was adopted at a few months old, so someone who is also experienced with the concerns of that population would be ideal.

Thanks.

Dr Sarah Welton helped my family, but she is in Woodinville. I found her after being recommended by our pediatrician to Eastside Psychological Associates.

Call Ryther. They seem to be the big group in town that deals with kids and behavior problems.
