Well, the truth is many big metros have adopted toll lanes on their major freeways. L.A. actually removes the lanes on I-5 off to another path outside the main lanes. I think some Texas freeways also have this in place. So we shall see how this works out on 405 on the eastside of Seattle.

Adding an additional emphasis means de-emphasizing something else. Otherwise, you'd need to move personnel from non-traffic enforcement.

With two express toll lanes much of the way, slow and late mergers won't be blocking the only HOV lane.

Why should I bother if you won't, or can't, back up your own claim? Jeez...

No, it wouldn't. Police aren't supposed to prioritize one traffic stop over another as it is, anyways.

And I agree - I don't really know why I'm bothering with somebody who is WILLFULLY ignorant and lacking any critical thinking abilities (now including, on top of his own willful ignorance and refusal to not be a completely ignorant hack - hell, you seem to be PROUD of loudly proclaiming your complete ignorance - failing to be able to forsee a world where Special Subaru Driver 281,328, blocks up everything because they need to get over an EXTRA lane in that last 100 yards compared to today).

Last word's all yours, hack - you're beyond saving. And since you're beyond saving:

Imagine, that's all you had to type to not show the world a pair of tennis shoes has equivalent research and IQ capabilities. Reach out to PBS if you need someone to help you read it or to scroll your mouse wheel for you since you're too lazy to do so.

Let me google that for you
I see that you rely on talk radio for your news...

In other words, to substantiate your unsubstantiated claim, you are simply relying on...another unsubstantiated claim.

The results from the search link you provided do not address the question whether the statement "As much as 75 percent of the collected tolls will merely pay for the tolling system itself" conflates capital and operational costs. I suspect it does, in which case it would be misleading at best (dishonest at worst), but am certainly willing to look at any credible source that says otherwise.

Note, however, that while the claim you are citing says "As much as 75%", which is a pretty big waffle, your claim simply says "75 cents of every dollar raised will go to a private company in Texas who did nothing more than put up the tolling devices."
