Yes, we have seen a big increase in aggression/ speeding/ tailing on the roads as it gets more crowded here. Years ago it was like everyone on the roads here was asleep and always had at least a car length of space between cars. Not so now, for sure.

Around here it's the opposite. We used to have a lot of accidents from high school kids driving too fast in the new car they got from the parents when they turned 16, back in the 90s. Now there are many people going well under the speed limit, often appearing to be recent immigrants from countries where many didn't drive. When we see the commercial driving school cars go by, most of the students are adults.

There seems to be more and more people cutting through side streets and speeding in our neighborhood. There were two pedestrian casualties (separate occasions) in our area this past year, an elderly woman and a 4 year old boy. Both were using crosswalks when they were killed. Sadly, despite there being a memorial of teddy bears and such, there are still people speeding on the same roads.

White Rabbit Syndrome. They're trying to make up for being stalled elsewhere. Many a Seattle "route" cuts through a neighborhood here and there. The shortest distance between two points is often a meander.
