Tonight I bought a 24 inch vizio smart tv for my bedroom inside my apartment. Suprisingly with a $12 pair of rabbit ears im able to pick up channel 9 kcts and cw channel 11 crystal clear. In my main living room tv which is a 32 inch insignia channel 9 and 11 don't come in at all with rabbit ears. I wonder if its that vizio tvs have a stronger tuner than insignia?

I live in North Seattle (Greenwood) around 85th street. I'm on third floor sandwiched between other apartments, bars, restaurants, salons, etc. I currently get a range from 30-35 over-the-air channels to include some HD channels.

This is the antenna I use as needed: Robot Check

Honestly, I only use the antenna to watch live sporting events or governmental debates. Sometimes you may need to re-position your antenna to get more channels and better reception. Make sure you purchase an amplifier and longer cables to route towards your windows or balcony.

Like others have mentioned, look into more streaming options with a Roku or Apple TV box. TONS of streaming options with these devices: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, local news channels, PBS, Starz, CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc. Plenty of cheap and free options to access these channels. Ask family or friends if they wouldn't mind sharing their access to these channels with you (sign-in & passwords).

**If you're interested in a greyer area, look into getting a VPN and streaming/downloading stuff off the internet and feeding to your TV through an HDMI cable or wireless**

Honestly, there are too many options to keep giving cable companies your hard earned money. Yes, its a pain in the ass to get everything set-up, but so worth it!!!!! Good luck.

I gave up. In my new place in Renton Highlands I also had trouble with a Mohu Leaf. With the Directv deals for ATT customers, I just got that and cancelled my Sling TV Service I used to stream HGTV and ESPN.
