Just has a "Bar-be-cuban" sandwich at Martino's on Phinney Ridge, straight up excellent. This is the "about us" (Stop us if you've heard this one, three guys named Chris decide to turn a vegan shoe store into a restaurant based on smoked meats). Here's their website: Home

Brass Tacks Restaurant in Georgetown area of Seattle is one of my faves, not just for the food and music, but also the slightly gritty, very unique, artistic, character filled warehousey location by the tracks. Here is a great description someone wrote "If you want classic Georgetown, go no further than Brass Tacks. This upscale yet retro pub is adorned with "upcycled" art and sports everything from bar games to a hidden "makeout" room in the back. The menu has heavier pub fare with dishes like Poutine, Bangers & Mash and Root Beer Braised Pork Ribs. All of which can be washed down with cocktails while listening to live jazz every evening. An excellent choice for date night on the other side of the tracks".

Love this place, here is the link: Brass Tacks | Seattle, Washington

Go to the Georgetown Trailer Park "mall' before, one of a kind: http://www.georgetowntrailerpark.com/

Go to Flip Flip Ding Ding afterward for pinball and beer, make it a perfect date. See, I'm not just all "farm to table" and "haute cuisine" : http://www.yelp.com/biz/flip-flip-ding-ding-seattle

If you blink, you will miss it. I was on a solo walkabout in Ethiopia this year for one month and I can tell you that Zuma Grocery/Cafe is the real deal Ethiopian food. Very tasty kitfo, lamb wot, tibs, traditional coffee. The enjera is fantastic and there are very good vegetarian options. Very nice people, high quality ingredients, hole in the wall in the best way, on 85th NW in Greenwood across from Fred Meyer. Here is the link: http://m.yelp.com/biz/zuma-grocery-seattle
