No, I'm not talking about the loud music bars and clubs where 20 to 30 year old people hang.
My motives may be judged, but maybe a few are stuck in town since they are on business or whatever and have no family or friends?

Adding the word "Single" in there throws the monkey wrench.. However, the "happening", single 20/30 areas with bars, clubs are obviously Capitol Hill, Belltown and other parts of downtown. Then there are the farther out areas, Fremont, Lower Queen Anne, Wallingford and Ballard. The U-District also has lot of 20-30s. Mostly 20s when you are down on the strip and then approaching Ravenna the age ranges from 20-50s. Some other neighborhoods I am not familiar with, but have a younger reputation, are Georgetown and Columbia City. Once you get too far out in Seattle, it turns into kind of an urban suburbia where most people are married with kids or sojourning with dogs; sorry, that is best term I could come up with for this typical Seattle family structure.

Forget Bellevue or the Eastside, unless you got cash to blow and even then being "single" on the Eastside is not fun, unless you enjoy hanging out with quirky techies, mostly of the male gender of course and many who are Asian/Indian (directly from the continent).

Not sure if you are male or female and that will also affect how you will enjoy these areas. Just know that in most bars in Seattle, especially on weekdays, men will outnumber women on average 10 to 1. Seattle is a very male city when it comes to night entertainment. Well, its fairly male city all the way around, actually. Women in the city tend to socialize in private or something, but I don't see a lot of them out and about, unless on weekends with group of "girlfriends" or with their significant other.

There is a little something for everyone in the Pike/Pine neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Great people watching, friendly places to go. I bet you would like Rhein Haus up there, very fun place: http://rheinhausseattle.com

I guess I was thinking like a bar, somewhat mellow club that's in a hotel or close to one. Business people, often, who are alone, don't like to go that far unless they're somewhat adventurous or know the city very well.

Try the Trace, at the W Hotel downtown Seattle. It has a neat vibe: http://m.yelp.com/biz/trace-seattle

1. So, what do single, alone from out of town business people look like? I doubt they'll be wearing suits, ties, and name tags.

2. Even if you could identify them, why would you want to hang with single, alone from out of town business people?

If you must, however, I'd say try the hotel bar...
