Seattle has MUCH stronger economy than Vancouver and a lot more high-paying jobs.

Is the rent 'too damn high?' Seattle is No. 10 on most expensive cities to rent list - GeekWire

Seattle is how expensive? Very expensive, says cost-of-living site - seattlepi.com

In Seattle, the rent is too damn high | Grist

I'm not arguing that Vancouver is a little pricey, but it's not an overpriced city because it has so much to offer.

The average annual income in Vancouver is 42k, Seattle's average annual income is 51k. It's more, but we're not talking about night and day. And again, Seattle is a more expensive city than Vancouver.

Vancouver doesn't offer the same jobs Seattle does. I have been to Vancouver many times and it's always been more expensive except now (if you go there with USD) when the CAD is very weak. Also, their taxes are a lot higher.

Seattle has Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, T-Mobile, Expedia, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Costco. What does Vancouver have? Hotels and restaurants.
