I recently heard from someone in passing that Seattle mayor’s office was successful in finding federal funding to help local businesses that might get adversely affected by the construction ensuing from “Move Seattle” Transportation Levy. This was the levy approved last November 3rd elections.

So if you are a business owner and your business suffers from this levy’s construction you can apply for financial help (grants I assume?).

But first you must prove and quantify loss and hardship, understandably so. Then I heard this: women and minorities get preferential treatment – is this true? If so how is this possibly legal? Can someone explain?

I know many business owners who employ a variety of people, different genders and ethnic backgrounds whose employer might not get help due to being white and male? Seriously?
