Hey everyone. I'm looking for some information on apartments in the Seattle suburbs. I've done a bit of searching, but I was just wondering if anyone has firsthand experience renting in the area. My wife and I are in our early to mid 30s with two small children and a 75-pound boxer. Does anyone know of any three bedroom apartments in a safe area that allow large dogs? We probably don't want to spend more than $1500 per month. I would like to find employment in Seattle, so being near a sounder line would be great. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, I don't even think you can get a 3br in a dangerous area for $1500, with or without the dog.

You're going to have to call and keep going further out until you find something. Rural will be easier, perhaps Monroe, Snohomish, Everett, Lake Stevens, Fall City or try Burien, Federal Way, etc.

Resurrecting an old thread here, but I've found houses and apartments in NE Tacoma and Puyallup for around $1500. We have enough money saved for a year of rent. Which one of these areas would be preferable for raisinf children? Thanks.

Schools should be generally good in both areas. Look also at Tacoma's North End, University Place, Steilacoom.

Don't rely exclusively on GoodSchools.org, which ranks schools entirely based on test scores, which are highly correlated with family income.
