Evergreen is the first UNICEF certified "Baby Friendly" hospital in the US. They go to other hospitals all over the US and Canada and teach them about becoming a "Baby Friendly" hospital, and it's merits.

Default Doctors in the University area?

After many years with Group Health, my wife and I are switching insurance providers. So each of us is looking for a general practice physician (and in my wife's case, an ob/gyn), preferably near the University of Washington or Roosevelt area. Any suggestions for these areas?

Dr. Haines delivered both of my babies and I was extremely pleased with his skill and style. My son's birth was difficult and Dr. Haines handled it superbly. In the hands of a less capable physician, it might have gone really badly.

A friend of mine swears by Dr. Barry Marmorstein as a pulmonologist, in Bellevue, affiliated with and near Overlake.
