I always read people's complaints about how cold or aloof people are in Washington state. After living almost 13 years in NYC, I think I actually prefer the "Seattle freeze." Most of the friendly chat that people are so eager for seems pointless to me. It's chatting because silence makes you uncomfortable. Chatting with people most of whom you will never become close with, just because it's the polite or friendly thing to do. Can't wait to get back to the PNW and live amongst its "cold" denizens again.
One sentence???

The one sentence is the first one before the paragraph break. The paragraph is just my take on it.

Seattle is where dreamers go--and get lost in the chill of the fog-- and gloom, it was my home for over fifty years.

Seattle is where middle class Californians move to so they can act rich and annoying.

Actually, most sources cite an increase of cost of living in Seattle so it's unlikely Californians are able to "act rich" in that economy. Secondly, "middle class Californians" don't exist due to California's prevailing economic structure.

I do hope this doesn't come off as "rich and annoying;" I would hate the Seattle board to become a place where "middle class Californians" express opinions.
