Either Bellevue or near bus 550, which goes through the middle of Downtown Seattle then gets on I-90.

Another spot to look is Crossroads (eastern part of Bellevue) near the Rapid Ride B line. It's a bit lacking in nightlife, but it's safe, reasonable cost of living, has a nice community feel, and lots of shops and places to eat.

What is your budget TS?

Kirkland and Bellevue would be good choices.
