In NM, in the biggest city it takes 15-20 mins any direction from Downtown and you have all the freedom and space you need. In Seattle you wish 10 million people per day would stop moving there. From an outside point of view it seems the building craze will never end.

That's called a desert and nobody wants to live there. That's why LA is overcrowded and expensive, and Las Vegas spacious and cheap.

LA is one of the ugliest cities I have ever seen. So is Seattle now, stench and garbage overflows in many areas.

I've never heard of seniors wanting to retire in Western WA but how many seniors wish to move to the Southwest?
Answer that one.

I've lived in England. Maybe you have too but I beg to differ, I nearly froze to death at someone's farm I was hired to ride the 2yr olds that are being evaluated for various tracks. ( FINALLY A JOB if even for a day, I took it)
I had 3 loose layers ( one cashmere) a down coat my winter riding fleece pants Insulated gloves and my Seahawks Beanie and that was under body armor and a helmet. Husband said it was springish but still colder than his Holland.

Even down under a down comforter , I'm really not warmed up yet.

I live in the fastest growing county in the US : Maricopa in Arizona. Somebody wants to live here.

Is that why more people live in Phoenix metro then Seattle metro? And why 90,000 people moved to Phoenix last year versus 60,000 to Seattle? I guess 1 or 2 folks don't mind lots of sunny weather and beautiful desert scenery.

Ok, I don't think it has any impact on what's going on in Seattle.
