Let me give you a heads-up, Jeff...AADAD & bloom started their bickering on the San Diego forum & are continuing it on the Seattle forum...so grab the beverage of your choice & let the games begin (at least until Seahawks season).

Oh, no way...their bickering can't hold a good candle ta Seahawk's season!

The Seahawks are a mystical sub-breed from the hawk population. They are usually a deep dark blue in color, with an occasional unusual neon green tint. They fly around SoDo frequently. They also tend to eat their young. Sightings are somewhat rare, but common on local tv.

They're the same as the Chargers, but they wear different colors & actually win games & don't whine.

In the baseball realm, the difference is that the Mariners genuinely try to get better including investing in product on the field, while the Padres owners do not try and are most greedy.

But, I'm used to that.

What I am still not used to is the insanity of rural Washington drivers...now THAT is true loonyland!
Yeah I would say traffic in Seattle is a couple notches worse than SD at this point. The freeway system in SD is congested but superior to Seattle's simply due to the fact that there is mostly no water to have to drive around so it's just a more comprehensive and elaborate system. Getting in and out of downtown Seattle around rush hour is truly a nightmare, I admire the people who can take it in stride. The benefit to Seattle though is the superior public transit compared to SD. The alternatives to driving are far more viable to far more people in Seattle than in SD.

I was in Norway (Oslo and Bergen) last year and couldn't believe how many people were out and about all day and night (sun doesn't set until 11ish midsummer). I'm more of an early morning person myself and the streets were dead until 9-10a or so. My Swedish friend who lives there says that everyone stays up late in the summer to enjoy the extended daylight to make up for the comparative lack thereof in the winter. I don't know if their jobs let them come in late or what but it was quite interesting.

It's amazing how these threads evolve from moving, to road rage, to Europe. Better than reality TV.
