The FBI said she was extremely negligent because they could not prove she intended on sending classified information. They said no reasonable prosecutor would pursue they case because they couldn't prove intent or lying to the FBI. Because she played dumb about computers. "Wipe the server? What, with a cloth?". She said that she thought "(C)" marking they put in front of each paragraph to say 'classified' was a way of alphabetizing the paragraphs. Except when paragraphs in that context would never be labeled (A) or (B)... just (C) or (U)... How you become Secretary of State and are this stupid is beyond me (truthfully, she's probably not that stupid, she's probably lying). 'Stupidity' would still be grounds for prosecution on the basis of 'gross negligence' and 'lying' to the FBI is a felony.

It would be no big deal, expect people like her and Petraeus get away with a slap on the wrist while peons like you and me would end up in jail for 5-30 years depending on how important the information was. People intentionally give away information (Manning; sentenced 30yrs, Snowden; fugitive) are liable to pay the death penalty.

That is plain silly and stupid.

It is written by someone that has never talked to a person that voted for Trump.

Nobody I know WANTED to vote for Trump.

It was to send a message to the Elites in this country that we have had enough!! Trump was the only one running for office that understood that. Everybody else was stuck inside their elitist bubble.

IF Trump fails......the Elites are in a whole mess of trouble in this country. They should be running scared. The next President might not be as tolerant of the Elites as Trump.

But....Trump IS an "elite". Notice how he's working hard to give more tax breaks to the elites, while screwing those who are struggling. Notice how he holds himself above the law. Hillary said she'd do the opposite; balance tax policy so that office staff would no longer pay more tax than their bosses, their politicians.

Oh well.

Spot on, Ruth. Hillary's problem was that she wasn't willing to really sling mud and whip up the rampant nationalism that made some people feel empowered and brought home the "guy on the street" vote. Ironically, Trump is looking out for the very, very rich guy at every turn. That's why they have put up with his antics, we'll see how Comey's testimony tomorrow goes. If Trump can survive this, he truly is bulletproof.

The Clinton's speak out of both sides of their mouth and certainly sling mud. "Basket of Deplorables"?

Trump is an elite, but he insults the other elitists (the Clintons) who engineer every word they speak to bend things in their favor. Fantastic.

Hillary: "I was Secretary of State but I thought that 'C was for Cookie!'"
FBI: "Good enough for me, can't prove intent, but this is pretty darn negligent"
Hillary: "The investigation is over and we've been cleared of all wrongdoing!"
Hillary: [Re: on next issue] "This is just the Republicans trying to hinder my career just the last issue where I was <cleared of all wrongdoing!>! Clearly they're not intelligent enough to just accept my engineered soundbites!"

Meanwhile average Joe gets 5+ yrs in prison for the same thing.

There is still no public proof that Trump colluded with the Russians. Comey is no longer FBI director and can not comment on facts/evidence of the investigation. Sure the Russians interfered - nations have been screwing with other nations since the dawn of civilization, but Trump is not at fault unless he colluded. If he colluded, he will be impeached. That's just a matter of time.

Socialism: "Equality of outcome"
Democracy: "Equality of opportunity"

I feel like Trump does a better job of Equality of Opportunity than the Clinton's ever would. Yes, part of that is protecting "the rich". The economy isn't a zero sum game. Because Gates, Buffet, Apple are "winning" does not immediately mean typical folk are "losing"

Meanwhile, the "Equality of outcome" folk are trying to redistribute wealth by burdening young kids with more Pyramid Schemes e.g. Social Security, ACA act.... Despite popular belief, there is no "large pot" of Social Security money. Retirees are paid off incoming contributions from younger people, therefore with no guarantee we'll see any returns ourselves.

I really don't care about "Rampant Nationalism", but I think it's a good thing he told NATO to pay their own way. If it goes over poorly, Trump is the one who said it, not the president we elect into office next. The potential for benefit exceeds the potential for loss. This has been true for many things he's done (not the attempted travel ban, that's stupid, but I knew he couldn't pass that into law when he was running anyway).

I missed whatever the incident was that saw the term "deplorables" coined. But I must say this: it's really too bad that Bubba Clinton always felt that mud-slinging was the way to go. People may not recall the first half of the Kerry campaign, when he took the high road, and avoided any of that. Then he got advised by Bubba (who was in the hospital at the time) that he should get down and dirty, to boost his campaign. Sadly, he took that advice. It was after that, that people started complaining about how nasty the whole Presidential circus had become. I'm sure he advised his wife similarly, but she didn't go for it as much as Kerry did; it isn't her style (not that it's Kerry's, either, but he was willing to bag his usual style). The problem is that the Repubs throw so much cr@p at their opponents, that eventually, one is forced to respond. And the situation doesn't allow for one to merely be on the defensive. That's the problem.

The public hates it, though. Though for some reason they don't hate it when Republicans do it. I mean really--Bush "swiftboating" Kerry? Bush didn't even go near the war! He skipped out on his service, but has the nerve to imply Kerry somehow didn't do his part. Crazy stuff. Really crazy.

Talk about out of touch with reality. Tally up how much "crap" has been thrown from the left (the Berniebots chief amongst them) over the last half decade compared to what's come out of the right. You're seeing what you want to see, even if it doesn't mirror reality. That's the same folly that had everybody convinced Hillary was going to win in a walk in November - everybody ignored what was plainly in front of their faces.

I haven't paid any attention to the Berniebots, so I have no idea what they're throwing. Makes for a much peaceful life. Anyway, they were toast as soon as their hero lost the nomination, weren't they? Or did they keep up the noise? Who cares about them, since their guy lost? I'm not seeing what I want to see, I'm focussing on the part of the race after the candidates were chosen. Bernbots don't count.

The smear campaigns in the US are just awful. Obama v Romney was actually a really tame year. Romney was a respectable candidate too. Even then, there were a few ads trying to demonize him for his role in Bain capital at the very end though.
