Which internet providers do you guys use and suggest in Seattle? We are coming from Att, from out of town, so want to see if there are better options in terms of cost and speed.

Basically two options: Comcast or CenturyLink, with Wave also available in some areas. In many areas, however, CenturyLink still only offers up to 1.5Mbps, which means that Comcast is a monopoly for those customers.

Comcast is adept at selling their Triple Play (Cable/Internet/Phone) bundle as saving you money, but you'll end up paying way more than you should. They have enticing offers, but require a two-year contract, with your paying through the nose when the deal runs out.

Consider getting only Basic cable/internet through Comcast ($69?). Subscribe to SlingTV ($20) on the Roku, AppleTV, or Amazon Fire for the most popular "cable channels". Add SlingTV's Sports Extra ($5) to get additional sports (including Pac-12 Networks). Subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, and/or Amazon Prime/Video for movies and TV series. Dump the HD/DVR box in favor of a simple SD box (SlingTV has a cloud DVR for $5/mo). Local HD channels (including Seahawk games) are available over-the-air via antenna ($6-12).

Thanks. Right now, I probably just need Internet. I have my streaming devices, and will probably get An antenna to see if I can get the local channels.

But I would like faster internet if possible

If you bargain with Comcast, they'll probably give you Blast Internet and Digital Economy Cable (no sports channels) for the same price as just Blast Internet, with no contract - they want your eyeballs, so will basically give you the cable service for free.

I use Wave (used to be called CondoInternet). It's pretty good, though does have a tendency to drop service.
