Absolutely correct! We live in San D and while the temp is nice ( ok very nice) year round we do NOT have anywhere near 330 days of sun. The gloom is very present from May to July and yes we do turn on the heater in Dec-Feb ( and it costs an arm and a leg). Again I'm not complaining just saying

I would say again it is mostly sunny over 300 days per year.
A morning marine layer giving way to an all sunny day after burn off is a net mostly sunny day, and occurs for 1-2 months depending on precise micro location.

The worst of our weather is on days like today (according to the forecast) when we get damaging wind. Usually only 2-3 times a year, but trees fall and knock out power often enough that I bought a generator back in 1997 and use it almost every year.

When is the wind supposed to arrive? Nothing in Burien yet. Just a beautiful cloudy/rainy/cool fall day.

It came, though our power stayed on in Sammamish for a change. Power did go out for 7,200 in Highline/Burien so you must have been lucky too. More coming tomorrow.

Winds knock out power to thousands, another storm to come Saturday | KING5.com

Yeah, lucked out. It was a little breezy after lunch for a bit. Nothing crazy. Stay safe out there.

Whidbey got very few gusts. Mostly just some small branches.

Yesterday afternoon/evening was quite blusterey in West Seattle. Lights flickered many times at our place but stayed on. I though I had the grill and other stuff on our deck covered and sufficiently strapped down, but the wind was having a real go at everything out there. I'll need to secure it even more.
