Not bitter, just keep it real. I know you Seattle snowflakes just can't handle that, though.

Thatguy, why do you use that term "snowflakes"? It's a generalization, emotional laden and really unnecessary. Be cool man, not divisive.

You haven't heard this term used to describe overly-sensitive individuals? I mean you're right, typically it's used to describe millennials (of which I am a member...) who cannot handle differing viewpoints or opinions. With Seattleites (of all ages) I find it to be extremely accurate, unfortunately.

Apparently "snowflake" is a term to describe any Seattleite who doesn't live at the corner of N. 36th st and Troll Avenue....

I agree, 1.5 hours is common, 2 hours is more rare. I have to sometimes drive from downtown Seattle to Snohomish, right off of highway 2, and going I5 to Everett to 2 it's just about 2 hours on a good day, much of the way at 20 mph or stopped. Mill Creek is closer, going up I5 and down 405. I can see it taking 2 hours regularly if you were to go 520 to 405.

Depends on time of day. Leaving at 7 am versus 7:30 can be an enormous difference. I did the Woodinville to SODO commute for the last two years and 1.5 hours was not uncommon because I left at 7:30, so take it from this bitter CityData poster, it's not fake news.
