California unfortunately is flooded with rich people who have too much money. California is also flooded with poor people as well.

You can rationalize why they should, but honestly that's selfish of you.

And giving the kid a bunch of Seattle books is also self-centered, self-serving.
Seattle is a great place as i moved here 3 years ago from Encino, california near los angeles. Im happy here in seattle and have made many great friends in seattle and bellevue that i see several times a week.

In los angeles i didnt really have any friends. The friends in los angeles that i did have used me for money. Here in seattle and bellevue the friends i have are real and dont use me for money.

Over 4+ million now and probably will hit 5 million in the next 5 to 10 years if the growth rate doesnt subside.

I'm just aghast that you openly suggest Californians move here. Rich or poor.

I consider this a good thing. We are full. This came out only two days ago and the number one choice was Seattle.

My friends are native seattlites. They are nice people. Most californias rich or poor are unfirendly and superficial.

Of course I'm sure you were talking about folks sitting on unmovable real estate or student debt, but it came across a little funny.

On another note...this thread has taken on a distinctively unhospitable turn, lol.

This is funny! I don't recall coughing being an issue, or people coming down with colds any more than in California, or anywhere else. lol

Move to AZ or NM, and you'll find out there's such a thing as TOO dry sinuses! In fact, I just spoke with a doctor today, who said people develop chronically clogged salivary glands and weird infections in the desert environment, because there's not enough moisture circulating through their tissues. Yikes! A dry eyeball syndrome is common, too. People carry around eyedrops with them, daily.

Y'all really need to kiss the ground, and appreciate the rain and moist environment there. The writing's on the wall; more people will be heading to the NW corner of the US, looking for a steady water supply. And you know, a steady water supply = a steady food supply. Your heads may be nice and comfy, down in that sand for now, but check back here in 10-12 years. Could get interesting.
