Yes, yet another housing thread. Looking for advice on where to look. (specific buildings would be great)
Looking for somewhere that is 3 bedroom, cat friendly, hopefully with playground and/or pool. Needs to be within 1 hour car ride of Tukwila, but 1 hour public transit is best. Good schools a definite plus. hoping for $1500 or less, not inclusive. (I know)
The catch - my credit score is in the toilet. I'm moving for a job opportunity that will be significantly more money than I make currently. I own my house where I'm at now, and have never been late, no bankruptcies, evictions or foreclosures. Just a crap score due to missed credit card payments.
All the places I'm finding seem to be for low income only, which the new job salary would not meet. (too high)
Can anyone offer some specific options to look into? Would be looking to move in July or August.
Tall order there... you might have to compromise on a few things.
I saw a few rentals in Kent, Auburn and Bonny Lake. Of the three I'm guessing Bonny Lake is best for the kids (at least I know a family that moved there... I don't know much about Sumner school district).

Good thing is you don't have to go all the way into Seattle. You have more options, especially towards the south. I imagine you could look at all over Pierce Co.
At that budget, and with the cat, you'll need to look in S. Tacoma, Parkland, and Lakewood. The commute, especially if to N. Tukwila (Boeing Field) is possible, but would not be fun. For instance:
You can have mine , I am leaving mid July but I have to live in Tacoma - the nice part too 2-1 . I think mine is right at 1500 this next lease . Get a locked gas cap . The cat is no issue w/$400 deposit . Most places accept cats and dogs in this region . Expect to pay a months rent as deposit unless they are running a special.
No not yet , i just had to give 60 days today . Well by the 14th but I am going to hurry it up . I am STILL hoping to go on to Bishop Cal , but F got this out of the blue job interview with Bombardier in Windsor Locks Conn . I have friends that live over the border in Springfield, Mass. and J liked that Berklee College of Music in Boston alot . Again this was totally unexpected, really nice pay , we even laughed about it we have applied so many times over the years sure enough he made it through three levels of interviews . This would be permanent and not contractor as well . He has tricked out ALOT of fancy little private jets so they finally noticed him .
He did get his hearing aids though and his nursing school said if he did he could take the BP finals he could not hear . I am just tired.
J is STILL dealing with the side effects of the h Pylori meds , she is still clear but taking her time healing up, they are Children's Hospital now seeing her gastro , she still has to go 1-2 times a week .
Elko can you even IMAGINE me anywhere NEAR the Pats ??? OMG lol

Reason: Atrocious spelling, terrible grammar. I am a mess.
Sorry for dropping off, I had notifications turned on for this thread which never came. Thanks for the replies, lots to mull over.
