My son is a recent college grad from NYC. Graduated from NYU. Looking to share a 2 bedroom apartment close to Amazon/ facebook campus. His budget is up to 2000, but would like to keep it under. No pets! he's extremely busy preparing to move mid august so I'm being a helicopter mom. Parents are willing to co sign if needed. If any guy out there is in similar situation write me back. we've been looking into the new buildings in walking distance/ short bike ride to get to office quickly.

I don't know about Amazon, but MS had bulletin boards near printers and an internal classifieds page. I'm noting this because it might be nice to have another Amazon employee as a roommate, and this is something he could explore. He could ask his HR rep about it to find out.

Otherwise Craigslist still appears to be one of the main spot people advertise for roommates.

For people looking for roommates, look here: https://seattle.craigslist.org/d/roo...res/search/roo

To advertise himself as wanting a roommate situation or looking for someone to share, post here: https://seattle.craigslist.org/d/roo...ted/search/sha

If you are willing to cosign, I recommend that he rent a 2-bd/2-ba apartment on his own and then look for a roommate who'll be right for him, rather than try to set it all up beforehand, sight unseen.

I'd expand his search to a 2+ shared. Why, because it's a bigger network and current residents will have more experience for all areas. Normally short-term with option to extend to longer term arrangement. Rents are stabilizing and choices will be plentiful by October.

I'd consider Eastlake. (Bus 70) http://kingcounty.maps.arcgis.com/ap...c73b72679bc82e also walkable, bikable, partly served by streetcar. [Disclaimer, we have a rental in Eastlake]
